First 10 days on liquids?

I was Banded July 2nd

The post op for the first 10 days says clear liquids, broth and jello only but how many times can you eat the jello and broth? as opposed to liquids like water or apple juice. are u supposed to consume the broth and jello like the other liquids (4oz.) every hour to help keep you hydrated?

Stick with your doctor's instructions. If you are looking for a great tasting protein shake that is okay to use while on clear liquids, you must try the Unjury shakes. They are actually delicious especially vanilla. Visit unjury.com to order.

Am boning up on my post-op dietary instructions (even though I still don't know if the insurance will approve me).

These are my surgeon/nutritionist's post op instructions.

While in the hospital: Clear Liquids

Weeks 1 & 2: Protein based liquids.

Weeks 3 & 4: Pureed (or blenderized) Foods

Week 5: Soft Foods

Week 6: Regular Foods

I had small amounts of liquids as I felt the urge. I was also allowed the Campbell's Special Request or whatever the name is....soup. It was easy to use the small container that you stick in the microwave for a few seconds. Seemed the liquids just ran straight through. I dropped 17 pounds during the pre-op phase. And, was told not to worry about protein at that time...good luck.

Amen to Unjury and it's Protein Isolate not Protein whey...the isolate mixes great and medically, better for ya. The chocolate's good too.
