Protein foods...

I've just joined a calorie counting website and have logged in my calories for today, I've only eaten 360 calories today when I need 2000!! I have also realised that I'm not eating nearly enough Protein (which would probably explain why I feel like I'm still always hungry)...

I need some ideas on quick, easy "snacks" that I can have that have plenty of protein in them....what are you all having to keep you going and get your calories uP?? Thanks in advance!!!

low fat cottage cheese is my favorite, 100 calorie pack of almonds too

I have a question, my friend had the lapband done yesterday, I know she's suppose to be on a clear liquid diet for a week. She doesn't know if she's suppose to be having a bowel movement yet? Any answers from this group

I didn't have a BM for close to a week. I kept calling my surgeon all worried. She said it will come don't worry about it. When you are on clear liquids there isn't a lot to come out. I finally had the first one and then everything was back to normal.:smile2:

Another good source of Protein, if you're having a hard time getting it in, are the Isopure drinks. They come in fruit flavors. One bottle has 160 calories and 40 grams of protein.

Regarding the question of the bowel movement, my surgeon said I was to have one every day, regardless. My husband made me drink Milk of Magnesia (ICK!) until I had one.
