How do you know when you have eaten too much??

I was banded on May 19th. I have been doing a pretty good job of following the diet. I know I certainly don't eat as much as I used to, but I feel like I can eat a lot!! I stop myself as I am sooo afraid of throwing up Or PBing. Has anyone had this feeling and if so how do you know or what does it feel like???:wink2:

Thanks for the help!!!

xavier thank you for your concern. I am eating more and getting my protein in. I have upped my calories and and back to losing weight! I am probably getting around 900 to 1000 calories a day now. I am making healthy choices and feeling great. last night I was craving fries so I cut up a sweet potatoe into fry pieces rub 1tbs olive oil and chile powder and a little lite salt and backed them for 20 min in oven crispy little tasty fries...mmmmmmm. oh and thankyou xavier for caring to make sure im eating better. way to go banditos!!!

Dear Less,

Glad to hear it...you sound like you're on the right track!!

Linda I was banded the same day as you. I am on soft foods till the 26th. But I am having the oppisite problem, mentally I am starving myself and only eating around 400 calories a day. My husband got on me yesterday about starving myself and I am trying to get my calories up to at least 1000 but I find it hard because Im afraid of getting sick with a food that doesn't agree. plus I guess I just want to lose weight but I know starving myself isn't the way to do it. I actually didn't realise I was doing that untill my dh talked to me at lunch time at work yesterday. Now I see that is why I have not lost weight in over a week. i will keep working on it. I guess I should try to talk to a dietician. I was banded in Mexico so I will have to find one here in phoenix.

I also had restricted my calories TOO much, I was down to 600-800/day or so and hit a plateau! so I upped my calories to 1000 and started to focus on getting in enough protien and lots of water! this really helped. I still dont feel any restriction so I will be keeping it going on my own until I can start to feel the band.

oh yea, I too went to TJ for my band. and I have had great continued support from the team down south. You really need to talk to your DR. in Mexico and they SHOULD support you thru every turn. I hope you wont let them be passive. The lapband is a journey and You cant do it alone!
