Crushing Bitter Pills/ good suggestion

I have to crush some very bitter pills, and it seems that none of the liquids will masque the bitterness.

Jello did the trick, but jello gets stuck in my pipe..no matter how slow I go.

I had a jug of pure carrot juice in the fridge because I felt I needed a vegetable. Well, I tried about 1/4 cup of the carrot juice and it did the trick...the bitterness was not as predominant as in the other liquids and I was able to take the crushed meds much better!

I gag an almost throw up everytime I have to take my sntibiotics. I was told yesterday to crush it and put it in apple juice. It was so bad that I almost vomited after dry heaving. I dont think I can take these without sever nausea. I will see if I can get some carrot juice and try that. hope it helps me

I don't crush -- I cut into tiny pieces. It goes down easier without leaving the bitter taste in your mouth. Put a few pieces in your mouth at a time, then swallow with whatever you'd like.

HTH!
