I have surgery tomorrow! It kind of feels like a whirlwind of a process. Maybe because I am paying for it out of pocket, but it has gone by really quickly.

(August 4th I had my band)

They had to keep me an extra night because I wear a cpap (but my oxygen level was fine the whole time).

No gas, no pain, slept good, private room, great nurses, got right up and was walking around.

Nothing went wrong. I don't even have pain now.

Am psychologically hungry but when I eat (drink) I'm full.

It honestly feels (today) that I didn't have any kind of surgery. Now the ""fun" beings.

Amazing.

Okay everyone, I'm getting closer....I saw my doctor yesterday and asked all type of questions (as this is my last Dr. visit before my surgery next Wednesday), he answered everything and told me that I'm all set and that he would take good care of me. I've lost another 9lbs since the liquid diet started, and like I said I'm not completely on liquids because I am eating at least a meal a day with Snacks totaling 1000 calories per day. I can't wait until next Wednesday.... so my new stats are as follows:

Start WT 252

Current WT 230

Goal WT 150

BMI 37.5

7 days and counting for surgery........:)

Got banded Yesterday. Went well. There was a lot of pain getting out, all I said was ouch for like the first 10 minutes. Was def. in and out of it for a really long time . Got my own private room afterwards. got morphine for the pain while there. I'm just super sore and swollen. Came home today around 4/5 I think. Was given percocet (sp?) for pain, but pharmacist won't give me prescript due to the amount to be dispensed being written in the wrong spot *rolling eyes*

Been eating okay. Not hungry at all really, so had like 2oz of apple sauce and some Water later on. sleeping sore as I am is def. not fun :-/

What things r u eating when you cheat? I just kept telling myself that I do not want my surgeon taking me in the OR, and then finds he cannot do the surgery because my liver was not in the state he wanted! The more weight you lose on the pre-op diet, the liver shrinks, he told me! Hang in there!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
