I use Benefiber, which is a powder. I use a Vitamin that effervesces in Water, and I need to drink some tonic water every day for quinine, so I just add the Benefiber to the mix. No taste, no texture.

I cook with extra virgin olive oil except in those situations where taste would be an issue, but as far as my needs go olive oil is always okay. When I make french fries for my granddaughter who lives with me, I use canola oil.

I agree. I've used the benefiber in the past.

I also agree about the oil. I use olive oil or extra virgin olive oil for nearly everything. Just remember olive oil doesn't do well with really high heat - it'll burn.

I use benefiber and metamucil powder (not the capsules because they can get stuck and when they expand they risk stretching the pouch).

I cook with Canola Oil when i want a flavourless oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil for everything else. I use Pam Professional spray to saute veggies and skimp on fat.
