Recommended Posts

i have been doing so well, since my banding in march, not feeling hungry, making wise choices, wellllll...today , that went out the window, i ate 12 samoa girl scout Cookies without one bit of resistance......kentucky fried chicken, ...and searching for chocolate tonite, it was as if there were no band in place, and i have been feeling resistance even tho i havent had a fill yet, anyone else get like this from time to time, i am hoping for a better day tomorrow

Hopefully tomorrow will be better. My cycles are totally out of wack. I haven't had since December (5 months) and no I am not preggers. I can just go long periods of time without one.

LOL I had that happen too. Luckily my birth control only makes me get a period 4 times a year, otherwise I'd be screwed. My surgeon said it was normal and I had gained 6 lbs but 2 days later it was gone again, mainly Water weight I think. Hang in there!

Hey there! This is definately not easy. My time of the month is the absolute hardest. We all make mistakes. Just hop back on and start again. GOOD LUCK! Make sure you don't let guilt get you. This is a journey, we are not perfect or we wouldn't be heavy in the first place. God Bless!

I totally understand what you are going thru...I am feeling the same way...which is what brought me to the site tonight...I was beginning to wonder if it was just me. Guess not! I'm total PMS which makes me 'not care' to a certain extent. I have been reaching for things that have not even been tempting for me...and stupid me...I made Cookies last night (knowing I would eat them). I won't get my first fill until June 4th and can't wait. I feel like I'm totally healed and ready for the restriction. I'm trying to eat smaller portions and don't even feel full. I almost miss that feeling right after surgery when everything was so swollen and I ate very little. I have been making sure that I get my exercise in. I mainly just walk, but tonight got a bit carried away and actually jogged. I could hardly believe that my body could move that fast!!

Hang in there. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
