  2. Congrats to everyone! I weighed myself this morning and I was 303 lbs. I am 4 pounds away from 299. Yay for me. It will be 2 years since I have been in the 290s.:wink2:

HELLO ALL....I am getting ready to advance to soft foods like shrimp, fish, etc. Has anyone had crawfish 4 weeks after being band? If so did you have any issues with it?
  4. He is VERY easy on the eyes as well!
  5. Just Banded, I am sorry you had to go thru that with your mother in law. That is why I am SO glad ONLY my husband knows I was banded. I would love to tell everyone, but I can't handle having to defend my choice right now. I have to focus on changing how I think, feel, and react to food. I have to work on fixing my obession with food and not others ignorance toward the band and people that are banded. I was having problems with my stomache and people at work knew I was having surgery, because of those issue. I did not and would never tell them about the band. I don't need to watched or lectured. So at this point think the most important person that needed to know knows. As well as my BANDSTER BUDDIES. Oh, BTW did I say I LOVE THIS SITE!!
  6. This is an awesome idea! My DH came up with a similar system. For every 25lbs I lose I will be rewarded with a gold charm for my charm braclet.:scared2:

I don't know, because I haven't tried yet. I am only two weeks post op.
  8. Wow! I am newly banded also. I am so sorry about your band slippage. I didn't know the band could slip the first day. If you researched your options and discussed things with your husband and you are ok with the VSG I think you should go for it. I have read a lot of good stuff about the VSG. There is a blogger, Wasabubblebutt, who knows ALOT about this stuff. She is always posting. Maybe you could look her up and talk to her. Once again, I am sorry about your slippage.

Can you feel your port during sex? Does it hurt when someone is on top or does it feel the same?

  11. OMG.... you are so lucky. I was also band on May 5th and I can not have soft foods until May 26th. I can only drink PROTEIN drinks and Water until then. Man, did I say your were lucky!
  12. What is Biotin?
  13. OK, I broke! I went on a rampage and I am so ashamed. Today I licked a pork chop, sucked on a peppermint, and sucked the salt off of two pretzels. I know I am a bad, bad girl and I should be punished. You gotta understand I am on liquids and I can only have water and protein drinks. NOTHING ELSE! I have a doctor's visit tomorrow and I will confess to him as well.
  14. I know I am newly banded, but I think this could be dangerous. You may accidentally hurt yourself. Just my opinion. You keep saline lying at your home?

Thetig, Paulawally, and babertm: Thank you so much for posting. Yes my Dr. is VERY STRICT! I would love a SF popsicle, but he said it is NOT on the list and I can't have it. I have not been getting all of my protein and water in. I am trying really hard, but it is VERY hard to stomache the shake after so many days. My body has adjusted I think. I am not as hungry. I get a hunger pain at around 6:30ish. I make sure to drink some protein. I mixed carnation with my protein shake to try to get more bang for my buck. The walking, rocking, and rolling did help with the gas! Thank you for sharing your ideas.
