Oregondaisy's turn for sleeve surgery

Well I am leaving for the airport to go to San Diego. It's a 2 hour ride to get to the airport.

I am excited and hope I didn't forget anything because I took care of my grand son this morning and he is a handful to watch and get anything done.

I don't have a lap top but I am hoping somebody will let me use a computer so I can check in.

Talk to everyone soon!

Daisy

I asked my surgeon about this. He said don't eat until you get that horrible pain in your chest that feels like an elephant is stepping on you.

You know, I am perfectly happy with protein shakes. Now that I have been taking lactaid, I am not having problems.

I have no real desire to eat. I wonder if you have to do the progression on to mushies and solids if you don't really feel like eating.

I had some yogurt and egg salad today because I thought I was supposed to, but I really wanted a protein shake. I really like them and they are easy!

You could do a protein shake for breakfast or lunch but the idea is to progress to solid proteins and eat to live as opposed to living to eat.

Well I found out last night what it feels like to be too full.

I didn't realize i was that full at the table. When I got up, I knew I was in trouble. It was a miserable time for at least a couple of hours. I am surprised my stomach did not burst . It sure felt like it was going to!

No more eyeballing food for me. I have a little measuring device I got from my lap band surgeon and I am going to have to start using it. It's obvious after last night that I am not a good judge of how much to eat. It didn't look like that much, and I stopped when I thought I was full, but obviously, I didn't stop soon enough. What a nightmare that was.

you're supposed to start out with 2 oz. but 2 oz of mashed up fish is pretty hard to judge without measuring.

I have had 8 oz protein shakes and yogurt with no trouble.

You asked and we listened!
