I'm a newbie from the Ark-La-Tex

I am "just looking" and have been researching this for quite some time. I finally talked to my husband aout it and attended a seminar in my hometown just yesterday. I am looking for people who have used doctors in the Little Rock, AR, Texarkana, TX, and Dallas areas. My husband works for Wal-Mart who won't pay for weight loss surgeries so I will have to finance this somehow (my husband is an "anti-charge and pay cash for everything" kind of guy). Anybody from my area who also had to "bargin hunt"?

First of all welcome to Band land! I live in Conway, Arkansas. I had my band done by Dr. Rex Luttrell in Little Rock. A friend of mine went in today for his consult for the band & he told him the price is $16,000. He does have a payment option. I paid cash for my surgery also. He gave me a professional discount because I work in the medical field. My surgery cost me $14,000. I hope this helps! I think there are other docs doing the surgery in Arkansas but I don't know their names. I have been seeing a Lap-Band clinic advertised on TV though. Maybe someone will know the name of it for you. Well good luck! & once again, welcome!......Jess
