How big is your band and how much were your fills?

Recommended Posts

My band is 11ccs and I got 3ccs on my first fill. I think he gave me a big fill because I told him that I ate an entire 12 inch sub. I'm taking Lyrica so sometimes the hunger gets the best of me.

I have an 11cc band. My surgeon normally gives 4ccs at the first fill, but i only got 1cc and I have had 2 fills. I still have good restriction after 8 1/2 months. I think everyone is just different.

I just had my first fill today and doc put in 4.5 cc in a 10 cc band. I think this sounds like a big fill, what does everyone else think?

I have a 10 cc band. I got 4.4 cc's with my first fill and another 1.5 cc's (or so, I wasn't paying close attention...) with my 2nd fill. The first one didn't restrict me at all and I was eating a ton of food, but this second fill is AWESOME. I eat 1 cup of food and I'm FULL. I love it!

OMG tubcat you look just like my niece in your picture. If someone showed me that picture and said it was her I wouldn't question it. Okay, I digress.

3ccs is not enough for me. I ate bunches of pizza tonight with no problem. I can't wait until May for my second fill and I'm hoping I get a big one.

I think many surgeons do large fills in a 10 or 11cc band. I am just a weird person whose stomach is just abnormally sensitive to being messed with, so I don't require a large fill. My friend, banded by the same surgeon two weeks before me, has 8ccs in her band while I only have 2.

I just got 3.5cc in my Realize band (9cc band I think) and am on the liquid diet for a couple days so no telling if it is very restricted yet but with the fluoroscope during the fill it looked like the passage was only about the size of a small straw. Dr White does all his fills with a fluoroscope to monitor how restricted he has made you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
