GOOD PROTEINS that appeal to us.....

O.K. my surgery was 3/23/09.....I am having a hard time......As of today especially evening I am HUNGREY.....I have been having protein delimmas.....I started with this powder that I mix in juice or pudding well that was only 10 grams.....I don't want to consume alot of food or juice at one time....So my Beef (Hubby) went to gnc and got me a case of the vials w/42 grams of protein.....BUT NASTY...it was grape...I still need to do liquids for another week so we need to compose a list of things that we can eat that don't have to be a huge serving to get in our protein.....I know I am probably late but I just had 1/4 cup of cottage cheese and just so happened to notice that is has 7 grams, hey I can do that.....I am starting to get nervous about FOOD and I want salt....I actually sucked on 4 cheese puffs today to get a salty taste.....Then someone mentioned that pork rinds has protein and no carbs....?????????:)

So I ate my high fiber oatmeal this morning and a hard boiled egg. I looked up the nutrition info for the egg and was "shocked"! I had no idea that one egg has 211 calories:eek: I am really happy that there are 17g of protein but I was just shocked about the amount of calories. Anybody know the breakdown for the yolk versus the egg white?

I was about to ask if you're eating an Ostrich egg. Glad you got it figured out.

Its a good thing too because I love boiled eggs and they fill me up so good!

Does anybody know the breakdown of the calories/protein for egg whites verses yolk?

any suggestions about what to do with an orange-flavored protein powder? it tastes too much like baby aspirin. i need some ideas.

If you're referring to the IDS Liquid Proteiin bullet I recommend mixing half a portion into a 16 oz water bottle and add The orange crystal lite Sunrise morning flavor.

it's actually a powder. but maybe mixing it with Crystal Light Sunrise Orange will help !

thanks !!!
