If you dont know how to help someone with their problem then tell them that.. But dont leave a person hanging.... I am pissed... Mentors to help people with the Lapband.. What did I get ? Hi Gang, Hope everyone is fine and well. I have a question. Does the lap band cause acid reflux? if so...what do I do about it? I've never had this problem before. Any ideas on what is safe to take? My Mom told me what she takes everyday but since we aren't suppose to take Aleve and certain things I want to make sure what I take is safe with the band.

Yes it does cause it. Talk with you Doc. and see what they surggest. I just go to Wal-mart and buy their generic acid reducer.

So far and I am 7 months out I haven't had a problem with acid reflux. Maybe I am just lucky. Hope you can get some relief with an antacid.

Did you pose your question on one of the mentor's threads? There are several here, I post in Janet's IndigoGirls and she gets back to you a lot. If you didn't like the mentor you chose to post on's thread, try another one. I think there are several here with threads. Hope that helps
