How did u find out you slipped??? What test was done?

I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago and NO ONE (Mentor) has even came back to reply to me any words, good or bad.. So you mentors, your here to read and help out.. If you dont know how to help someone with their problem then tell them that.. But dont leave a person hanging.... I am pissed... Mentors to help people with the Lapband.. What did I get ? No answer what so ever....

O.K. that all sounded good BUT, How many grams of protein are in 1 ounce of protein???? Forget the deck of cards I need to understand teh simple way.. And thank you for your post on here .. Its great to see a Dr and be able to ask questions.. What state u in? I am in NC.. Banded June 2, 08.. I had a great Dr.. I Havent been able to swallow well since surgery.. Finally after the Dr told me its normal and I knew it was not I had an upper GI.. Showed a narrowing of my esphogus... Now I am going thursday to a gastro Dr to have my esphogus dialated... Ever hear of this problem??? I have read over and over about people who have A dialated esophagus But no one seems to have my problem... I am worried about perforation while they dialate.... O.K. I have serched this whole site and not found anyone who has my problem.. I do NOT have a dialated esophagus I have a narrowing of teh esphoagus.. I need to have my esophagus Dilated.. One gastoenteroligist said NO way. It will blow out your band .. Another Gi Dr said it can be done.. I am taking my upper GI reports, and my endoscopy reports with me on March 30th to this new Dr to find out what can be done and how dangerous it is to have your esophagus dilated... Has anyone ever heard of someone having their esophagus dilated??? It is done all the time on people without the band.... Very common from what they tell me... I am frustrated I cant get a right answer from anyone... I cant swallow food right and I am NOT too tight from a fill.. I am 9 months out with having my band and I had this problem before I got my 2 fills.. I only have 3 cc's... Thanks for reading and hopefully somone can help me.... Rose

First off I am sorry for your problems.. I have my own... Are you drinking protien drinks to keep your energy level up? If not do so ASAP>>. I have been having problems swallowing since I got the band 9 months ago and the Dr kept telling me its normal..NOT!!! I had an upper GI and it said my esophagus has narrowed by the band.. Then had an endoscopy and it showed everything was fine but I had a little acid reflux.. They say sometimes you dont even know you have it.. which I did not.. BUT this Dr said he could NOT dialate my esophagus which is what I need done... A new Dr said it can be done and I will see him march30th to talk it all over with him... I cant swallow but I dont throw up... I eat a lot of ice cream.. I have lost 56 lbs since june .. Some days I think if I have to live this way for the rest of my life can I?.. If I ever have teh band removed I WILL look into the gastric sleeve, But I wont go back to teh weight I was... Hope the Dr can help.. Ask then if your esophagus has narrowed?.. Your friend, Rose

Has anyone had a narrowing of the esophagus? Thats what the upper GI showed I have... it has given me problems swallowing since I had the band put in 9 months ago.. Has anyone had their esophagus Dialated???? I was told by one Dr you cantdo it , it will blow out your band.. Then another one said yes it can be done....I am sick of not being able to swallow most foods.. But I will stick with the band, I just want an answer to my problem... Help if you can... I am so glad to have been banded since june 08. I lost 51 lbs and it was easy.. Did I have some hard times yes, we all do no matter what the situation is.. But in the end it was so worth it.... Alll you out there thinking about the band..DO IT!!!! Diets havent worked and kept the weight off .. The band did and will.... Happy new year all.. ciao, Rose

Dont freak out... If you dont do it you will never lose the weight .. You know it.. You tried all diets and the weight went off and came back... Remember everyone is different everyone gives all kinds of stories.. Just read all u can about lapband , but do it... get the band and be happy for the rest of your life.. You will lose and it will stay gone.... Nothing is easy.. You will have some hard times but in the end it will be worth it.. trust me... I was banded june 08..Lost 52 and I am sooooooo happy... It's like I did not even have to do anything to lose it... It's really simple.. Eat little portions.... You will be fine./...God Bless

I was banded june 2nd.. Lost 52 lbs... I am happy with that.. It is a slow process but thats what makes the band better than gastric by pass... I am happy and will contiune to drop the weight off... Happy New yeaar all from North Carolina... Ciao, Rose

I'm Rose and I was banded in june 08.. I have lost 51 lbs.. But I have problems swallowing? Any one else have This problem? I cannot ever eat bread.. Onl;y soft soft foods and I only have 3 cc's....I know I am not to tight I was like this before the fill..., It's frustrating but I will live with it as long as I am losing.... Reply please... I had that problem too.. My Dr told me to stop taking the gas x and other stuff cause I did not have a problem with acid... Take malloxx it sooths.. dont take stuff for acid gas cause you dont have that.. sooth the gs pain with malloxx worked for me after about a week of drinking it.. The pain never came back...

I was banded june 2nd and now I have had heartburn for 2 days..It's killing me.. I have used Gax -X and MyTab for the gas but It's not working... I am having little burps and they hurt bad...Anyone else have this problem????

O.K. is the tightness in the chest is normal? I am drinking broth, water and popcicals and taking the liquad vicodin, that makes it rough.. Can I eat cream of wheat?? I feel the liquads only is not enough..Please give me some suggestions... Besides that I feel good ..I have a heartburn feeling which is the tightness in the chest area and gas is leaving me.. I am walking aot.. That helps.. WHen did you all start mushies? Did you all wait 7 days? Thank you .. Rose

It could be from the hernia.. If you have one too big you are not a candidate for the band.. You can do gastric by pass...

GO with ENOCH..Dont go with Moran....Trust me my girlfriend was using Moron then switched to Enoch and everything has gone fast and great for her..... Dont worry about tomorrows.. Dont worry about slippage.. If you do then you wont have this operation.. Check out how many problems have come from lapband.. The % is very low.. We can all have problems with anything... But God wants us to live for today.. It's how I need to live or I will overrun my brain and always worry about this or that...Handle a problem when it comes .. Hope this advise helped...
