Now that I got your attention .

I am having problems with feeling full in the large part of my stomac.. I am feeling restriction when I eat but the large part of my stomac is so empty and I am hungry all the time. I am aproching my second year aniversary and I am down 70 lbs. I feel great but I am always hungry. Is there anyone else out there that has had this problem. I am looking into getting another fill but I do not think that this is the answere for this problem since I do have restriction.

I eat the right amount of protien and eat it first of course. when I am full up top the bottom is still craving.

Any help would be great.

This may be more mental then physical. My weightloss surgery center has a psychologist on site to help with this sort of thing. If yours does i suggest you go see them. 70lbs down is nothing to sneeze at. Your doing great!! But you shouldnt be feeling hungry all the time if you have restriction. I wish you good luck. Now lets get back to your title...that was hilarious!! you grabbed my attention!! HAHHA

I hate to disagree with someone but I do not think it is psychological. A growling tummy is not in your head. I'm wondering how many calories you are eating each day. Make sure you are getting enough. It may be that you need to eat more often. For me, a small healthy snack helps calm the growl. A low cal yogurt, applesauce, or a piece of fruit is what I reach for.

Kuddos on your creative title!

God Bless!

Have you had your band checked to see if it has slipped? If it's in the wrong place, it will not trigger the full feeling. Some people have a slipped band and don't even know it. It causes them no discomfort. What you are describing could be a possible slip. It's worth a peek.

I agree with you 100% on the hunger matter. The stomach growling hunger we feel is not in our head. Would anyone say that to a skinny person? No. When I had surgery and had to stay on liquids for two weeks, I was VERY hungry. My nutrtionist said it was "head hunger". Bullshit!. Anyone, even a skinny person would have hunger if they are only drinking one shake a day and having broths and popsicles. I resent being told that everything is in my head. Granted, hunger would be in my head if I consumed a whole pizza and a liter of soda and then I daid I'm still hungry, but when I eat 4-6 oz at a time because I PHYSICALLY cant eat anymore, its safe to say I'm still hungry. The band is full, not me or my stomach. Thats the misperception. I still want ot eat because I'm still hungry, I just cant because it wont go down an gets stuck. Let get that straight. Thanks for letting me vent.

I don't know if my answer is the right one for everyone but it works for me.

Were told with the lapband we should have smaller meals and sit down for a certain amount of time to eat them. That didn't work for me. I now eat about 6-8 times a day. Just tiny amounts. I might have a couple bites of chicken one minute then an hour later have a handful of nuts. It's the only way to keep that grumbling noise from happening to me. I don't physically ever feel hunger since I started getting fills. I have head hunger thats for sure. But eating small amounts quite a few times keeps both of them at bay and I can easily make all those "snacks" high in Protein.

I am almost your opposite. I rarely am hungry, and I don't eat like I should (working on that now). You didn't mention how much Water you get in, this might help with a fuller feeling. I don't put much in the head hunger.

My stomach growls like crazy but for me I had to teach myself that this is not the same as being hungry. Yes maybe the big stomach is hungry but I think its just food from tthe pouch moving down. My stomach growls so loud its embarrassing and I used to think I was hungry but I have realized I just wanted food (who doesnt?) but I was not actually hungry....its weird!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
