Post-OP Gas pain remedy!!!

After I had my surgery in January the gas pain was horrible!! I tried everything from walking to over the counter gas pain relief pills. Then I remembered having to call a doctor one night at work about a patient who had had lap. gall bladder removal & was experiencing gas pain so bad that nothing was helping (I'm a nurse - we had already tried gas-x with no results). The doc gave me an order for "GLYCERINE SUPPOSITORIES". They worked!!! They also worked for me after my LB surgery. I didn't think of them until about 3 days post-op. It was immediate relief!! I had to use them for about 2 days. I wish I had thought of them before the surgery. I know, noone wants to use suppositories. But they really do work! I promise! LOL!!........... ;-)

You know, when your in that much pain, it really doesn't matter who does it.

When my appendix burst (and they couldn't figure out what was wrong w/me) I didn't care who poked or prodded me, all I wanted was the pain to be gone.... my pride disapeared since then lol.

I will try to remember this remedy. Thanks.

It took me awhile after I porked on a zillion pounds to figure out how to wipe my butt, My arm was to short!! I hate to admit, my butt was too big.

I hate that gas, I would rather have a root canal.

my friend Katerzz told me about the chewable gas x and that is what made it bearable for me. Not to mention the morphine and the phenergan I was getting IV while i was in the hospital.
