I know in my case, when I am not drinking the Water, my weight loss stalls no matter how many calories I am ingesting. I also know that if I am getting in the Water and eating not so well, I can lose weight. There is definitely an impact on my body.

I found information addressing this topic as follows:

Appetite Suppressant

Water tricks the body into thinking it's not hungry. When dieters consume greater amounts of water, they eat less. Water temporarily reduces even real hunger feelings, so dieters don't need to eat as frequently. Drinking water with a meal reduces the room in the stomach for food, reducing the amount of food eaten.

True Hunger

Because dehydration is such a common issue, many people mistake thirst for hunger. The best way to combat needless eating is to drink a glass of water and wait 30 minutes before munching. If the hunger pangs stick around, grab a bite to eat. However, in many cases, the glass of water will eliminate the urge to eat.

Waste Removal

Water is necessary for proper digestion. By drinking plenty of water, the stomach and intestines digest food at a quicker rate than if the body doesn't have enough water. Kidneys depend on water to help flush out waste into the urine. When the body is free from waste, the liver is able to flush out fat at an optimum level.

Water Retention

Drinking plenty of water reduces the amount of water the body retains. When the body is dehydrated, it holds onto water, trying to store it in case of emergency. However, when water replenishment is continuous, the body doesn't hold onto excess water, since it is readily available.

Exercise

Water is a necessity for those who work out. Dehydration reduces strength and endurance during workouts, so fitness requires plenty of water consumption. When trying to lose weight, exercise plays an important role, and drinking water will make or break an exercise routine.

Mindless Munching

When a dieter consciously makes an effort to drink more water, mindless munching drastically decreases. Every time there is an urge to snack, a bottle of water comes to the rescue. Sipping on water continuously makes avoiding snacks easier. Once drinking water becomes a habit, snack avoidance is much easier, leading to more significant weight loss.

Overall Health

When the body is at its peak, fat burning is optimal. The human body consists of roughly 60 percent water. When dehydrated, every system in the body suffers, from temperature regulation to mental clarity. It is imperative that the body has the appropriate amount of water to ensure that everything, including fat burning, functions as it should.

As you might know that Water is the best beauty treatment...Apart from 60-70% of your body being composed of water, water has an extensive range of functions essential to life. If you don't drink enough water you can't get the full benefit of nutrients in the food you eat.

I was put on ADD medication recently and the appetite suppressant also suppressed my desire to drink. Without realizing, I went about a week drinking VERY little liquid(we're talking 8 to 16 oz a day). During that week, not only did I not lose weight, but my back and sides started hurting REALLY bad.

As it turns out, I had been drinking so little Water that my kidneys were beginning to seriously protest and had started causing kidney-infection like pains. My doctor felt the whole situation was quite hilarious and threatened to put me on an IV if I didn't begin paying closer attention to my drinking and eating habits.

The day after I went to my doc and began drinking like I was supposed to (64 oz a day) I lost an entire pound. Within a week, I had lost about 5 to 6 lbs.

As my doc describes it, a large amount of the fat we burn is removed from the body via water. If there is no water to remove the fat, it will simply stay put. I'm sure its more complicated than that, but that summed it up nicely for me.

Not to say that I dont drink Water of course, because I do, but I dont really believe we need to guzzle it down.

If I drink lots and lots, I pee more, simple as that.I normally drink a litre or more around my exercise session and then three or four glasses a day as well as the ordinary tea/instant or Decaf coffee and maybe an orange juice. Seems to be enough for me, I pee clear and frequently but I dont notice weight loss benefits by drinking more.

A had a Dr. put it to me this way once...

"When you are trying to burn fat, think of it as if you are burning a campfire, when the fire is out, what are you left with... ashes. Water is a way to get rid of the leftovers of your own campfire."

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
