Going through the insurance pre-approval process now. Packet submitted to TRICARE Prime on 5 Feb 09. Wondering about what others have experienced during the after care – nutritional follow-up, fills, etc.

    Follow up with nutritionist happens 1 week after surgery, a month after that, and then one more visit in another month. They seem conservative compared to some - liquid diet for a week then mushies for a month. No fill until 9 weeks after surgery.

    Thought Dr Tran and Dr Halmi were both great! Stay in the hospital as long as you can. It's nice to have people taking care of you!
