How many calories were you reporting on your 6 month BCBSIL diet? I have been doing everything to a T to their guidlines they have posted. I am just worried about getting denied. It is getting close now to the end of my 6 months.

I did WeightWatchers and documented everything I put in my mouth and every minute of exercize. With the 6 months of physician visits he just documented that I was following my diet and exercize program as necessary. Good luck

When I was on my 6 month pre-op supervised diet for BCBSIL (last year this time) my dietician told me they needed documentation that I was on a "low calorie" diet and their definition of that was 1200-1500 cal a day. If you think of it that amount makes sense since that is the average calorie intake recommended for weight loss. Good luck to you, I am now 8.5 months post-op and happy, happy, happy with my band!
