Wow Katie that's a long wait. I have also noticed that the office is very busy, that's been the hard part on me, because I have a baby and time is precious. I got my surgery date today it's going to be March 6th. I am excited! I was a little unhappy with the way the ins lady treated me, but the surgery coordinator Tricia is very sweet and helpful too. I'm sure the ins. lady is just very busy. I have to start the 2 week diet in about a week, I'm a little nervouse I will only be allowed 5 shakes a day for 2 wks. No food! Hopefully I will be too excited to think about food. Good Luck Katie Sue, and everyone else also.

Hi, I was wondering how things are going for you w/Dr. Davis office. I have been to the first consult, I want to get the lap-band surgery. I wanted to ask you if you have been to his office yet? I finished all my psych & nutrition classes and have been approved as of last friday. The only problem is I have called his office and sent an email w/no response. I wonder am I being impatient or being ignored. I am growing a little impatiant and need some feedback. Thanks!!!!!

I also have completed all of the processes required by Dr. Davis and am having trouble getting the office to respond. I've had my paperwork turned in for over two weeks and finally called, again, and suprisingly the doctor just approved and the person to schedule the surgery was on vacation until Monday. If I don't hear anything by Monday afternoon, I will be researching another doctor in Houston and will make sure I let the Davis clinic know that their support staff is lacking and makes them look bad.

Hi Pdenpaula,

First of all congratulations on getting approved!!!! If your experience is anything like mine then the hard part is over, the girl who schedules the appointments is super sweet. I believe her name is Tricia, and she was very helpful and nice with me. Tameka is the one who was rude. When I finally got to talk with Tricia, everything was great she scheduled my surgery and was so helpful with all my question. The front office staff is sometimes a little rude, but everyone else in that office is soooo nice. I think you will be pleased once you get scheduled for surgery. Good Luck w/your Journey!!!!!!

I am new to the board and I am so glad to find out all of this information. I went to the seminar and the dad gave it. I have been on and off the fence concerning this but I am going to go ahead and get my funds together and do it.
