Example of Meals (breakfast, lunch, Supper)

Hello All,

I'm soon to be a banded 42 yr. old male. The surgery date is Aug. 9th! I'm still very much in the dark about what consists of a normal meal (once whole foods are incorperated). I hear different things; from a couple of bites to a plate full. I'm sure it's somewhere in between. Can ya'll give me some example of some daily meals? I'm having all these anxieties about how much , what, when, and how to eat! Any comments will be greatly apprecited. I'm glad that I have found this board! There is so much to learn.

Alex - Were the Fills painful? I experienced esophagus spasms after my surgery and am hoping that I don't have them when I get a fill. Did you go to MM or Abkin's office?

Hi Kari,

Our docs do all their fills at the hopsital, under fluoroscope. It's not at all painful; the only hassle is actually finding the right room.

I did have one unfill at the office, with Dr. Bertha. He's extremely good and since it was an unfill it was just a matter of taking a little out, no worries.

breakfast/up at 6 eat at 9-10am

1 cup 2%milk

life cereal or muslix cereal with

banana(cut up verrry small)

or

1 slice 12 grain toast with becel and light Peanut Butter or reduced sugar jam

or on the week end

1 egg over easy,1/2 toast,2 slices bacon (crisp)

snack/

V-8

lunch

veg Soup (always)

salad with chicken and asst vegs.

or

tuna sandwich(1/2)

or small hamburger

dinner

whatever the family is having.I make sure to go for more meat and veg and then some starch.

ex. BBQ chicken legs ot thigh even breast if enough sauce

green Beans bit of butter and salt

mini white potato w light sour cream.

or tacos heavy on the meat and veg, easy on the cheese and sour cream.

or rib steak 2/3 oz and that;s it/MAYBE a bit or tow of veg.

V/8 is a WONDERFUL YUMMY sack and good for you!!!

I find if i eat until i am 'full' there is no way i can even attempt to snack in the evening. It's an amazing thing that yes??
