Protein, vitamins, hair loss...Oh my??

***Good Morning all you wonderful people***wink.gif

Well there is only 6 days left until My sister and I get banded together. I am excited and nervous. I have a question for all of you. I have trouble with the Protein shakes. What drinks do you use? I do not know if is the consistency of them or what but they make me feel sick to my stomach. shocked.gif Also what do you use for Vitamins? After surgery did you experience hair loss?

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Love ya!

I use Optisource Multivitamins. They are chewable & orange flavored.(Available at Walgreens)They are specially formulated for people who have had weightloss surgery. I also take a chewable Vitamin C daily per my surgeon. As for protein I have been doing the protein shakes. Try different brands. There is also bulk protein you can mix in with your juices and other liquids. I hope that helps. Bets of luck with your surgery!

I did have hair loss after surgery, but it was from the trama of the surgery, not lack of Protein.

I've been banded for just less than 5 months. and I don't use Protein drinks except for the rare occasion, or when I travel.

My hair is great and my nails have never been better!
