Wondering if anyone has had Lapband in the B'ham, AL area. Who their surgeons were? What followup care/support they received? My surgery date is February 25th. Very nervous and excited. I was happy to find this site for answers to many questions. I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you!!!

I used Dr. Sherer at Shelby Baptist in Alabaster/Pelham. I had my surgery on 8/22/08 and haven't really had any problems. Dr. Sherer goes very slowly with his fills but at the same time I started with 3cc in my band and I just went to 4.5 cc today. I liked him because he didn't require lots of up front testing and counseling and he offers a support group but it is not required or anything. If you would like more information, please ask.
