10 days to go before the band

Hi Community,

I am excited about getting the band, lots of participation. If there is one thing that anyone could tell me to make this surgery better, what would it be?

Hope everyone is doing fine and accomplishing your goal.

Make it a great day!

Hello Linda: Start walking a lot now to help with your surgery recovery. Start getting use to the liquid diet regiment, but substituting a meal with broth. And keep researching the procedure.

Good luck!

Hello Linda and welcome to LBT.

I was very fortunate with my surgery and recovery. I was only out from work for a few days. The only recommendation I can give to anyone and what seemed to help me was:

I talked to the surgeon in the OR before being put under and begged him to make sure he sucked out all of the air in my abdomen after the surgery.. and after the surgery first chance you have get up and start moving and continue this regimen at home.

I never felt 1 gas pain and was never uncomfortable after the surgery and I believe it's because of the surgeon and my agressiveness to keep moving.

Linda - I have 10 days to go also, and I am getting excited and nervous. I am so ready to have the surgery and get it over with and start losing weight. I have started walking and joined Curves to get a start on the exercise! Good Luck to you.
