I am scheduled for my first fill today at 4:00pm(yay!) Does anyone know what the rule is for before the fill? Should I fast? For how long? Thanks!

I am going to FillCenter USA tomorrow for my first fill. Here is what they told me in the confirmation email that they sent:

Per Fill Centers fasting guidelines, please fast on liquids 8 hours prior to your adjustment and have nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to your adjustment.

my dr said nothing about fasting before but i could only have liquids 24 hours after.
