Had a decent day. Funny after the fill and not eating 2 days I got to 225; I ate yesterday and this morning I was at 228? Is that normal? Also not feeling much difference from a fill, I am still not getting full super quick....Shrugs...

Good morning Tamra my sweet - I never got the full effect of a fill for a week - seriously! A little gurgle right away, then nothing until about day 4 or 5, by the time a week had gone by I was as tight as I was going to get. You dont want to be TOO tight!

Good morning all!

Nicole-I'm so happy for you girl! Congratulations! Enjoy! Where is the wedding taking place?

Ashley - I invited anyone who wants to make the drive to come to Petaluma to walk at the wetlands for an hour and then come back to my house (I live about 10 mins away from the park) for lunch. We need to pick a time but I was thinking about 10:30 or 11:00 am and then lunch around 12:30. I'll send directions when it gets closer. Petaluma is about 40 mins from Vallejo (you take highway 37).

<3 Nicollieeee <3 LOL I already told you congrads but congrads again!! better tie that fine boy down, now remember, no babies for 2 yearssss ~

breakfast: Grande skinny decaf latte

lunch: 6 turkey meatballs (approx 5 oz) with alil spagetti sauce

snack: ice cream cone from mcdonalds (whoops!)

dinner: my mom baked a turkey so I will have some of that, maybe 4 oz.

Also, after alot of talks, etc I am moving April 1. I got a 4 bed house in Pinole (Jess we are close now!) and will be livng with my boyfriend and my mom and of course my daughter  so I am pretty excited about that!

Have a good night everyone!

Tamra - Congratulations on the your new home - sounds nice and a good size. Good job on the protein girl (minus the ice cream ; ) ). I ate some of the left overs from my concession stand at Nate's plays this weekend. Had 2 cupcakes and a part of a brownie and a lemon bar. uuuggghh! Today I am back on track - exercised this morning before work and back to measuring my cottage cheese.

Have a good day.

Pat - how did you even get the 2 cupcakes , part of brownie and a lemon bar down? I can't even get more than one bite of cake like products down. What would Robin say?

Ok who was the other person at the table who could possibly get married? Must have been Heather.

I'm reading the posts eating my tuna - something we are not really supposed to do - eat and do something else while eating - cuz we don't pay attention to our size of bites and that can cause issues.

Thats nothing Pam I have been able to get cake down, girl scout cookies, ice cream, etc...

and that was yesterday LOL

Back on track today!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm back from Richmond and meeting Dr. Park. It was a great visit and Dr Park was very informative. She was pleased with my loss thus far--down 20 since orientation and she is moving me forward through the process as long as each visit I am losing. I was able to get a phsyc apt for this Thursday. Liz wasnt in today to schedule with her. I really want to do those 2 apts on the same day as it would be so much easier than traveling back and forth since I am coming from Sac. They are going to talk with Liz tomorrow and maybe they will reschedule it for a time when I can do both.

Oh, and I have decided to do the sleeve procedure. I didn't want to do such an invasive procedure but the trips back and forth to Richmond would be such a hardship that I think in the long run this is a better way for me. Thanks Lee and John for your help. John, I am still going to give you a call, I just got tied up yesterday enjoying the sunshine.

I am thankful that I found this group as your words, talk, advice, and support have been a big help for me. I hope you guys let me stick around this chat room.

Hello Everyone!

Purees have been going down a little better. Can’t say I’m a fan of Purees. Food I would normally enjoy does not appeal to me Pureed. Down 20 pounds post-op which now brings me to 100 pounds since I started this journey a year ago. I have my PCP follow-up appointment this Wednesday and Richmond next week for the surgery post-op follow-up. Went through another closet yesterday and put together two large bags for donation. I fit into clothes I used to wear ten years ago.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!!

Ali – No problem, congrats on your decision! Who will be your surgeon for the Sleeve?

Pat – Thanks for the invite! Don’t think I’ll be able to make it but I am sure going to try!

John,

100 pounds in a year! That is absolutely fabulous. Since I am new I don't know your history but from the couple band failures you had it looks like you finally are on the road to a tool that works for you. That is so awesome. Pureed foods sound absouletly disgusting to me...i think the earlier stages sound so much better. Make sure and pass any great reciepes along...lol

oh, and Dr Park is going to be my surgeon.

Breakfast: Decaf Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte

Lunch: Alittle under 4 oz Chicken Breast with 5 wheat thins

Dinner: Alil under 3 oz turkey with about 2 tablespoons onion gravy, and way to many wheat thins wth 1 oz cheese.

Riley I dunno today all of a sudden with both the chicken and Turkey, when i chewed and swollowed it I felt like I had a lump of food in my chest...it HURT!! finally it went away after about a minute...is that the restriction!? I ended up not even eating as much as I wanted cause it kept happening!

Edited by tamra.

Ali, congratulations on making your decision. I don't think you'll regret the Sleeve at all. There's always two surgeons in the room so you'll have Dr. Park and someone else. I hear Dr. Park makes dainty little incisions.

Tamra, how exciting that you're getting a new home!!

John.... 20 pounds! You skunk! I knew you'd leave me in the dust. Robin said that 5-25 pounds is typical in the first two weeks post op, but that the men really skew the results. I'm so proud of you. 100 pounds let go of forever!

Spent 8 hours in my office today and did ok. I too am not a big fan of the pureed foods. I'll be happy to graduate to soft stage.
