Jes I hope you get a fill too. It helps with attitude for me now that I have one. I don't have much restriction but I can tell a bit of a difference :-) Just a motivation boast

Maria I gained on mushies too. I think it just happens!!

Tamra - don't be so hard on yourself. Everyone is on a different timetable. It didn't take me long to get to surgery goal but I have only lost 40 lbs since my surgery 15 months ago - after losing 30 before surgery. Try to set mini goals - maybe one meal at a time. This isn't a race and you are going through alot.

Discovery Kingdom was fun but really cold. We got there at 3 pm and left at 9:30 pm. I actually went on a rollercoaster ride - the Boomerang. I decided maybe I could handle it because it was dark so I couldn't see how high I was. OMG I was so dizzy afterwards I felt like I was drunk. I kept my eyes closed the whole ride which might have made it worse. I kept screaming and my son who was next to me kept saying "it's okay mommy". I had to sit on a bench for about 1/2 hour and I had an instant headache. We went and saw the dolphin show - sat in the third row in the center. One of the little girls I took with us is 9 and she had never seen a dolphin except on TV. She was so excited. I had my single mom group over for our annual holiday potluck today from 4-7 - it was four woman and six kids plus us - I had to hustle and clean and do laundry today. I need to go to work tomorrow to rest.

I did good on my food this weekend and did lots of walking which makes me happy.

Here's hoping we all have a good week - we deserve one.

Pam, that's a great point. We shouldn't be setting goals "one day at a time" sometimes those goals really need to be per meal. Well said!

Hello All you beautiful ladies and gent! How is everyone doing?

Jes you look great in your profile pic. Wow I so miss you guys. The trials continue for me.

Tamra hang in there girl, LB is not so bad. We have to learn to control and battle this head game. Stay strong. I should take my own advice lol.

Monique you look well. Riley Candra Tina Heather and Donna how are you sassy chics doing?

Maria, maria Maria, my advice is stay true to you the menu. My mushies were all Protein and that was my saving grace.

Have a blessed night all!

Maria - I did a lot of refried Beans when I was on mushies you can melt a little cheese in with them. I also did Cream of Wheat for Breakfast but thicker than I had it when I was on full liquids. Just watch the portion sizes.

I am home sick today - got up at 5:30 and was very dizzy - didn't want to drive. I went back to sleep and just got up at 10:50 - I went to bed last night at 10 pm so maybe I needed sleep. My mom came over as usual and got the kids to school.

Reggie- Please tell me how you did Protein for mushies?? what did you puree and eat? I'm having a hard time with this.

Hi Maria,

I did tuna and very little mayo (keep a little bit of the brine from the tuna to mash up). I also mashed eggs and mayo. Honestly I couldn't do the puree but improvised to get as close to mush as possible. Chew the heck out of it.

I am home sick today too Pam!! I have a killer sore throat and let it go all week. Crashed yesterday..........I got up for a couple hours to go to my daughters school program but was out by 7pm.

Not to bad though cause I woke up to a yard full of snow and I am glad I didn't have to drive the roads.

My daughter ran the California international marathon yesterday with a relay team and she is home with a sore throat today. I am so proud of her 7 miles ....but she can hardly move today.

Donna my legs are so sore from all the up and down at Arco Arena!! LOL. I should have done it a few more times. Next year I am going to volunteer with you.

All my lab results came back in the normal range for all the Vitamins, Iron and protien.Even B12 which is hard for vegetarians is NORMAL. I am so glad. I take two Vitamins and calcuim a day and I do try to eat lots of protien. I am happy I guess that means I can still be vegetarian.

Working hard on losing this week. As soon as my throat heals up I am going back to the gym. Gotta hit this early this time.......

Jes and Candra hoping you get fills too!! I bet you guys will this time and I bet you get big ones cause the other doctors do big fills but less often!!

Hey all -

I should stay away from this site before I get a sore sick and a throat LOL

Tina - so glad you got a fill! I hope i get one on the 15th - not doing so well in the weight loss dept!

Reggie - good to hear from you - try to check in more often - missin you girlie!

Maria - I never did much mushies but what I did eat was alot of mashed cauliflower - I used a little sour cream to mushie it or whipping cream - you could even use some plain yogurt - whatever works for you. Talapia is a good one because it is so soft already you don't even really need to musshie it up - just chew, chew & chew!

Riley - I got my cookbook from Jes - I love it!

What about a Fiber Cereal - let it sit in some skim milk to get soft - you could probably even warm it up some! I bet that would be a great mushie - why didn't I think of that before!!!!

Totally worth it though... I have been very good accept for this wekend. So today is a new day, a new goal, and a new me. I spent the weekend surrounded by unconditional love and thats what I needed! A child can make it all better with a hug or even a look =D This is my favorite time of year and the great part about that is its not my fav because of the food.... its because of the GIVING and the love. I seriously cant stop buying toys for kids... and I dont have andy kids. LOL. Have a great week everybody. P.S. does anyone want my mother as a roomate... Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
