endometriosis and the lap band

I have endometriosis and was wondering if I can still get the band. I am just starting my research into the lap band. Can anyone recomend a surgon in Washington State? I think my insurance will cover after reading the policy but if I am self pay what has everyone been paying in the states?? Thanks for the input!!

i havent heard of endometriosis being a problem..i have pcos..polycystic ovarian syndrome and i got approved..good luck to ya!!! take a look around here at the forum..it is very very helpful and keep us updated on how your doing!!!!

Girl parts have nothing to do with stomach parts! Completely differnt system. Sort of like asking if you need to worry about a mason if you have electrical problems. :D

I have the band, love the band; have girl problems, hate the girl problems. I'll be getting an ablation in a couple of weeks, hopefully that will fix my girl problems.

Last year when I had surgery to clean out the endometriosis it was on my bladder, bowels and on my stomach. Endo travels fast when it has taken the ovaries and tubes already.

I have been wondering about the same thing. I go soon to talk to my surgeon but if you hear anything about the lap band and endo. will you please feel me in? I have a hysterectomy due to complications with endo and I have have issues. I am worried that some of that tissue will connect to the band.
