Very frightened mom

Hi My Name is Lynne and I have struggled with weight all my life. My weight has ballooned to 275 pounds on a 5.2 frame - disgusting! I am completing my Masters degree , have three gorgeous children and I am only instrinsically motivated to go through with this bec of health concerns - I am diabetic, hypertensive . I manage all aspects of my life well except my weight - I am a complete whimp about surgery fearful of complications - anyone else have my fears? Anyone care to comment:eek:

I too had some jitters. I have a 3 year old son and do well in my life except keeping my weight under control. I had the surgery on November 12th and all went well. I know how you feel but just imagine being healthy for your family!! Good luck.

I cannot speak for everyone but we all have feelings of fear and doubt. Yes, there are complications but hey there are complications for being overweight to.

I was terrified, cried for days before. Other then some pain this has been the best experience of my life. I was banded on Nov 14 and have already lost 16 lbs, I would have never been able to have done this without the band.

Good luck in whatever decision you choose.:cursing:
