Weird... When I choose the two thumbs up smiley it switches it to the one thumbs up and sunglasses smiley. Not cool!

Good morning lovies...

Michelle - so sorry about Mo. That poor cat has suffered so much. Whatever you decide to do will be the best thing...

Pam - sounds like you fell off the wagon and the wagon ran you over... Another day and another chance to be good. That's what I tell myself everyday. That's all I can do!

TracyK - did you find anything that you liked in that pile I sent you? I didn't even realize I had that much stuff! Suzie should be getting hers today and Pammy on Monday...

TracyKS - Yay Mom!! Already her fist fill? How's she been feeling? I was in the clouds when pounds were dropping that fast...

ooooh Haydee... I like your new avatar! You are so gorgeous!!!

Well, the vet is here... she took Mo out to the van... then she came back to get permission to sedate him, as he is impacted "up past the bend in his colon". Lovely. Poor guy. I can tell that she REALLY thinks we should stick w/Mo... & we are for now... she says there's 1 more drug we can give him... + we (& when I say "we", you know I mean "me", right?) will give him weekly enemas, see how he's doing, then move to every other week, then every 3 weeks... w/the hope that it'll taper off... so we'll see... all I know is that if he gets to this point again, the outcome very well may be a "final" one for him...

Sorry to go on about this... you all are great to humor me w/using this forum to vent about this... I know this is WAY tmi for some of you... you all are vooderbah!

Good Morning Girls,

Just about ready to leave for work and than a friend of mine is coming over when I get home. We will probably go out to lunch. She loves mexican as much as I do. So that is probably where we will be.

Not much else going on. Sun is shining today and it's supposed to be somewhat warm, 50's-ish. Hopefully I can take doggie for a walk later.

Have a great day.

Michelle - I remember how hard it is to give a cat a bath!!!....How the hell to you give him an enema???? What causes this chronic Constipation anyway? Poor Mo.

TracyinKS - Nice post, girlfriend!

Lucky you TracyK!! Haydee has such beautiful taste in clothes! Dontcha just wish she could box up that beautiful skin, hair and teeth to go with it???

I'm really worried about Evan. Somebody give me the lecture about how "worry" never helped anything. Please?! When i play this tape loop forward all I see is him spending his life in jail or under a bridge. HELP!!!

He won't with a mom like you Terry!

To bad there isn't a 30 day dose so that you could get him to take it and then be ok for a month.

((Terri)) I wish I had advice for you... it IS true that worry never solved anything... if it were me, I'd do everything in my power to control what I could control & then pray on the rest!

I hope that's true, Tracy. It's hard to know what's best sometimes.... coddle him or play hard-ball. Coddling doesn't really "help" him....and hard-ball makes him crater into a puddle of tears. Doctor can't see him 'til the 27th. I think I'll go online and see about getting him into Baylor's program here in the medical center. Cutting edge research going on there. We've got some of the best care available in this city -- I suppose I should take advantage.

You guys are so wonderful

I cried when I opened the thread, and i'm at work and not girly here so i better suck it up before a guy walks in!

Terry - Tracy is right, you are a good woman and mom and just breathe. I always tell my mom to work with me and not tell me what to do and it makes it so much easier for me to deal with things. That is a child's side.

As for the bi-polar part, stay strong i guess, Kev's brain injury and now bi-polar and I have delt with him and it has not been easy, hence the rest of the story of my life...LOL

I'm not going there, this is a new year and i'm claiming everything i've work for and want out of life! MINE

I told new guy slow and steady and he seems to be ok with it but then says we will have to address that some day... I LIKE MY girls too much, my friends, my annual trips with my violet girls, my guys (friends) I hang with at the pub. They have all been a big part of my life and i'm not walking away from who I am for any guy!

wow, what has gotten into me???? LOL

LOVE YOU ALL!!!

going to buy some new jeans this weekend to Celebrate my success

Let us know what you find out Terry!

Also... I'm patting myself on the back....... just had lunch with DH, at his fav mexican place..... I ordered the lunch fajhita (chicken) and ate ONLY the chicken, some Beans and a bit of the sour cream!

I STAYED LC!

Normally, I would eat only chips.. dipped in the beans and salsa, AND lately......... ordering a side of the queso dip and eating it all.......... SO I AM VERY PROUD OF MYSELF

Tracy - so proud of you

so...you guys are going to crack up... remember when we got to Gurene what it took to get me to try guacamole? well I'm addicted, I found a mix in the store and have been getting the 100cal pack size and having it with a few multi grain chips, infact that is what put me in the hospital...

How funny is that -

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
