Well I am sorry to report that I am sick again...this really sucks. I have a bad cold and fever. This is the second time in less than a month. I am going to have to talk to my doctor about Vitamins. I am taking Vitamin C. Well I am off to try and get some rest. My entire body is aching.

well i didn't get to eat the chicken wrap as i went to the casino and while there i had an oatmeal raisine cookie and a med, coffee.< /span>:) will do better tomorrow.

so i had 1178 calories today

China, I can understand on being to busy to go grocery shopping. Thank goodness my life has slowed down alot . I try not to buy anything that would tempt me to eat it. I buy mostly healthy foods for the house. I do pick up a few treats for my 13 yr old. She has been trying some of my food and likes it. Her favorite is the sugar free ice pops. hi all hows everyone doing today? well im doing alright today i awoke in my right mind and on my game i had an oj Protein Shake this morning.

whats in it

1 c of orange juice

1/2c 2% milk

1tsp. orange extract

1 scoop whey protein

2 1/3tbs. slice almonds

1 slenda optional

Hope everyone had a good day. For some reason today I was hungry. I ate more then I should have but atleast made good choices on what I ate. I know I need another fill. 2 more weeks for that. China, I hope you are doing well with eating. Laurel

Hi all, I had my first fill today and it went really good--kind of freaky, huh!? I've been reading your quotes and it sounds like you are all doing well and so suportive. I will see how liquids go for me the next 2 days, then puree for 2 days, then My doc--the mean one-wants me to only eat when I am hungry--we'll see. matty

hi all welcome back matty how is everyone doing these days. well i have been doing the formula 40-30-30 diet and it been going ok. well as of right now i have 871 calories

4oz chicken salad

an orange Protein Shake w/1tbs. walnuts

4oz apple juice

and that is it. going to the gym at 8pm. might eat alittle spighetti later but, i night go to tops and get me a weight watchers dinner. i did notice that im not eating as much and not very hungry lately. still trying to get the Water intake up as i know im not drinking as much as i should. congradulations matty on the fill. keep us informed on how things are going. you need a fill laurel how do you know. does anyone else need one. how long does everyone excerise. and is anyone lifting weights yet.

Hello everyone glad to hear that everyone is doing well. I am still sick with a head cold but feeling alittle better.

When I get a fill my doctor only requires me on liquids the first day, second day mushies and 3rd day regular food.< /p>

I have not been working out since I have been sick hoping to get back to it by the end of this week.

Well I am off to fix myself a cup of tea.

hi all well i went to the gym tonight and it felt great i burned 410 calories while there. so here is what i eat 2day

b- 5oz chicken salad, 1c grape juice

l- orange Protein shake

d-1c of spaghetti w/4 turkey meat balls

s-1/2 Cereal w/ 1/4th milk

was 1431 calories-410 burned at gym=1021

37ozs of Fluid drank today

WTG China, keep up the good work. Rose hope you feel better soon. How is the fill going for you Matty? China, I feel like I need a fill as I am starting to get hunry and can eat more then the amount I should be. Thank goodness atleast I am eating more good foods. I don't buy anything that I know I can resist anymore. The only treats I buy for my daughter is ones I know I really don't care about. Most of the Snacks she eats now are the ones I eat too. She is built like me and I am trying to help her not gain. Hubby needs to lose weight too so I won't let him buy anything for himself either. I pick out the snacks he is allowed. Hello everyone. Well I still congested but feeling alot better. Tomorrow I am going to go get some chewable vitamins. I have not been able to eat much while I have been sick. I am not sure if its because of my fill last Friday or because I have been sick. I did loose 2 lbs this week so I am happy with that since I have not been working out. Tomorrow I am going to start working out again. Take care of yourselves.

good morning all hope every one is doing great this morning. well im will be leaving tonight going to nyc for the weekend. going shoping for my kids and things that's my mini valetines get away. im excited i look to travel. other than that im doing ok.

funny story last month i went and bought new panties right well yesterday i had a pair on an my old man looked and said what is wrong with your panties i said what he responded did you lose the bathroon in them why are they hanging like that. then he goes put your close on. i go to the mirror and it just was sad it looked like a baby's diaper would after they have had it on for a while and used the bathroom a few times. so i went and bought a smaller size. i seem to be lossing alot of inches vs weight. i guess thats good.

happy v-day everyone and have a great weekend talk to everyone on monday.

Enjoy NYC China. Rose, I am glad you are feeling better. How is the fill going for you Matty? I am off today and Hubby and I are going to Atlantic City. Free dinner and a show. He was so sweet and bought me 2 dozens roses. I did get to my 90 min. Water aerobics class today. I am also going to get in a lot of walking too. I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend. But then no days off until good friday. Have a great day everyone. Laurel

      I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

      Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

        I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

        Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

        Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

        I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

        I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

        BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
