How long did you have gas after surgery?

I've been feeling so bloated and gassy and I haven't even been banded yet. It must be my age I'll be 50 in March. I used to have an Iron stomach ....that is not the case any longer.

After banding how long did it take for the gas from surgery to go away for you?

thanks

Hello Sooverit, Congrads on your up and coming Journey. you will find that everyone is different, so i can only speak as for myself. i went out and bought the disolve Gas-X strips and Liquid Tylenol to be prepared for what everyone was saying they had experienced. But all in all my gas pains only lasted about 4 days after surgery and although they were uncomfortable at first, everything gets better and easier as the days past. i did'nt need the pain meds and the gas-x strips did'nt really work. The only thing you can really do is walk, walk, walk, walk(you'll hear that alot). good luck and i hope that helps

I had no gas pains...I bought the strips, but never had to use them.
