Feeling guilty

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am hereby confessing my eating sins.

1) I am not eating enough Protein.

2) I have started eating carbs again.

3) I am not measuring every meal I eat.

4) I sometimes have a snack between meals.

5) I can't resist the sweet deserts in the teachers lounge.

6) I catch myself eating when I am not hungry.

7) I have begun to fall back into the destructive emotional eating pattern.

I only have about 23 pounds to reach my goal weight. Why am I sabotaging myself?? I feel so guilty. I need a pep talk.:)

do not feel guilty, you proably already lived that life before the band. Move on try not to fall into that guilt mold. It is unhealthy and only grows and adds to destructive behavior. You have lost alot of weight. You will loss the last few pounds. Have a treat once in awhile. Maybe the return to emotional eating has to do with continued dieting even with the band. I believe the dieting and monitoring every bite ,ended when I was banded on Oct 14, 2008. I know I have to get my Protein in, but I am not going to measure and worry about it anymore, I believe that is what got me to the shape I am in now. Don't get me wrong I will follow the band rules so as to not cause problems, and I think for health everyone should exercise, but no more obscessing over food. You have done great I wish you continued wt loss and a happy healthy life. Quit feeling guilty

Oh my god your doing amazingly. Maybe you are to hungry at meal times and need to eat in between. Try organizing healthy Snacks in between meals like a piece of fruit or a low fat yoghurt and see if that helps. You don't have to be perfect.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
