Loridee11 - before and after pics

Recommended Posts

Loridee, I have a consult for next month on a breast reduction. I'm not real up on this stuff so I thought I'd ask.. if you didn't have a reduction, how come your breasts have gotten smaller? From a DDD to a C? I'm confused.

I also had my band done in January 2007 and have lost 60 with 30 to go. I was a 44 DDD and now am a 42DD. I'd like to be smaller and am looking for a reduction..maybe that is what a lift is?

Hey loridee,

you look great!. Question? Why do you have a vertical scar? And you only got a lift on your boobs right?

Hey,

I have both a horizontal and vertical incision because of how much tissue I needed removed. The Dr. could have done just a horizontal incision, but he felt it would leave me boxy, I wouldn't have any curves. The vertical incision allowed him to remove tissue from the middle of my body and let me keep some curves.

Also, I posted a week three photo. It's a little dark, but overall my shape is the same (still VERY swollen) but my scar is looking better and better.

Hey Sula,

I had a lot of loose skin that was filling out my bra, and that's what made me so large. If you primarily have breast tissue you'd need a reduction, but if there is a lot of loose skin a lift may work for you. Just an update, I went bra shopping and I did end up a D rather than a C.

Oh, congrats on your weight loss and being close to your goal!!!

Thank you. I hadn't considered a breast reduction until recently when friend here had one. Then I realized I didn't have to lug these honkers around for the remainder of my life so I'm pretty excited. I'm just hoping my insurance will pay for it. We are in the middle of changing insurances so I'm in a bit of a quandry as to how to address it.

I was private pay for the band and that is about all I am wanting to pay out of pocket ( and for the fills.)

HI all! I've updated my photo's with 3 and 4 week photos. I don't see a ton of difference between week 2 and 4, and I'm still pretty swollen, but I feel MUCH better. I'm at 5 weeks tomorrow and can't wait for 6 weeks when I can stop wearing my binder!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
