Welcome to Bandster Hell. Terrible. You are not alone. As a carb addict the bread thing is SO hard. I know for me it was like withdrawels.

Something that was on my list for mushie/pureed stage that really helped me was canned corned beef hash..... I cooked it and a really soft over easy egg (basically the same thing as a scrambled egg but some reason it tastes different to me). Measured out the egg (about 2 oz) and the rest 2oz (i eat 4 oz total) of the hash..... it's really mushy from the can (mary kitchen brand). Yes-- not the BEST but in the small amount of 1-2 oz it's not that bad and all together a good protien and a different taste.

I also roasted an acorn squash....Really good. Not a potato but just as tasty.

I haven't lost an extreme amount but am a low BMI'r and am losing the 1-2 lb per week......

Once you get to "real" food you will find (at least for me) that the denser (chicken, beef, pork) protein keeps you full longer and veggies are soooo good. If I eat (besides the hash still-i don't know why) anything processed it makes me want to puke. I think I want it and it will be SO good--take a bite or 2 and YUCK. Tastes like chemicals or something.

oh-- sorry-- the commercials are from hell....... just when you're full and really aren't even thinking of food--

BAM!

Hello-- don't you want a cheeseburger? What? No tots or fries with that? NOT LOVIN IT A-HOLES.

I like split pea soup made more creamy consistency. Very good for protein content too. I know most people just grind up anything... tuna salad very mushy, chicken salad mushy, pudding, etc. You just have to be creative...

When I was at the pureed stage after surgery, I took a normal meal such as roast beef, gravy, potatoes, carrots, veggies, and put all in the blender pureeing it until smooth and I ate it. The flavor was as if I was eating the real meal, just not having to chew, etc. I did this with every meal I cooked for the family, eating the right amount for my stomach, 1/4 - 1/2 cup and I was full. Be creative!!!!!

yes thats the way to do it.....just blend the meal you have cooked the family for their dinner...maybe add extra sauce/gravy

it really is up to you there is a lot of choice....all vegies with gravies, sauces....casseroles....roasts n veg.....souffle's....curries.....

make things to your taste to be appetising and good fresh food is very nutricious and this stage will be over soon

Potatoe soup got me through. As with many veggies, it gets super soft and mushy the longer you cook it. (not stringy veggies)

Good luck and hang in!

Hi I am scheduked next week for my band. That is amazing that you went from a size 24 to a 6. Only in my dreams! How did you do it?
