is it possible to get too tight 6 weeks after fill?

I had a fill 6 weeks ago and was totally fine. I woke up last night coughing and throwing up. I can't keep anything down. Could it be possible that I am now too tight?:)

Hey Jen - not sure about that because I am new at the band thing too - but you know so many bugs are going around right now. Plus my doctor told me/us in the meetings that if we started throwing up to call the office/or go to the er to get the fills taken out - so that it would not cause the stomach to over lap the band - so you might need to call your doctor.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Please check with your doc. In the mean time, drink, drink, drink... I was dehydrated and it made me feel the same way... I pumped fluids and I am MUCH better now...

I spoke with the nurse and she said no, it shouldn't be that I am too tight. That I might have gotten something stuck. She told me to do liquids today and slowly progress to mushies, then real food again. SO, I will try that and see how tonight goes.

FYI, I got SUPER tight again 8 weeks after said fill. I ended up going to my doc yesterday for an emergency unfill because I couldn't eat anything... and liquids were going down SLOW. Got .3 ccs taken out of my VG band and I am MUCH better... so it DOES happen, and I am not sure why... I thought if I lost weight I'd loosen up. I've dropped 14 pounds since that fill, and have only gotten progressively tighter.. See your doc if things don't improve very shortly.

I had the same thing happen and it was actually caused by sinus drainage. Weird, but it happens.

Hey Becky,

So, did you have to have any taken out of your band? I called my dr on Wed and spoke with the nurse and she told me that I couldn't be too tight b/c that's not possible, that maybe I got something stuck. Well, I have been coughing and throwing up every night since then. I can eat maybe 1/4 cup, and have to drink liquids very slowly. So tomorrow, I am calling to get an appointment with my dr.
