I think it depends on your doctor. Mine said no yogurt until "soft foods" and custard was NEVER mentioned; I'd have remembered that! But each doc is different.

We served Yogurt as a full liquid at the hospital. Now custard, I would think would be more pureed then liquid.

It really goes to show how different doctors are. My doctor's office listed yogurt and custard as full liquid. Check with your doctor's office for his instructions.

Every list I've seen lists it as a full.

That doesn't mean your doctor allows it. Mine doesn't put us on "full" liquid but on "thin" liquid and custard and yogurt aren't included.

Rule of thumb that I was told: If you can suck it through a straw, it's a full liquid. If not, it's a soft mushie food. They do have liquid yogurt smoothies now, so that would be a full liquid. The stuff in the cups you eat with a spoon, would be a soft food.

I know! This should be a universal thing or something. Never will happen, every surgeon "knows exactly" what's right

I think it depends on the yogurt or custard. Some are really liquidy - like yoplait, they were on my liquids list. I'd rather eat vomit, lol, so I didnt bother with them.

others are thick and creamy, like greek yogurt, those to me are definitely more of a mushy.
