Hair loss!!

OK question for u guys. I am 6 months post op and have been having some hair loss. Not major patches or anything. But everytime I wash my hair or comb my hair there is a noticable amount of hair being lost. I have thin hair to begin with and dont wish to be bald. I get my requirements of protein a day if not more so I know that is not the problem. I have also had blood work done and it is nothing to do with that. Does anyone have any tricks they know of that can reduce the hair loss that doesnt involve increasing the protein. Oh and I also take 2 Biotin vitamins a day too ( hair nail and skin vitamin) I know that hair loss can occur after surgery and rapid weight loss... but this SUCKS... would appreciate any thoughts:lol:

There are different numbers on the Nioxin...which one is the best one to use??

It depends on your hair type. If you go to Nioxin.com, click on Assess My Needs and it will ask you a few questions and then tell you what number you need. I use #5 because my hair is very course and curly and not dyed. I would suggest buying it on ebay, that is where I found it the cheapest. I would also suggest first buying a starter kit to see how you like it before you spend a lot on bigger bottles. I have used it for almost a month, and I can see a difference. I actually have little hairs growing back. I don't know if it is from the Nioxin, but I'm just glad it's coming back in.

I was starting to think I was going a little nuts. I've been noticing I've been shedding too more than usual and I'm nearly 6 weeks post op. Good to know I'm not the only one.

I am almost 9 months out and it has finally stopped falling out. It is starting to grow a bit where I had some "empty" spaces. Still, I use a filler powder that seems to help in the meantime.
