need lapband buddy in the ny area

Hello all, my name is Ebony and I am 25 and i waiting for approval to get the lapband! I am excited yet nervous and not sure what to expect. so I am requesting somebody to become my mentor. I would prefer somebody at or around my age and somebody in the nyc area! but I would love if anybody could reach out to me. I have so many questions and worries. does anybody know of any suport groups in the nyc area? My doctor is Dr. Kini from Mt. Sinai hospital.
