  2. Hi Aquilla I was banded on the 9th and I had thge same problem!!! the thing that really worked for me was a heating pad! I put it on my chest and felt much better in like 15 mins! The key is to NOT lay on your back try to sit up and although it was painful walking is good! Hope this helps! EB:closedeyes:

hello all i just got banded on friday jan 9th. The surgery went well, i just didn't expect to be in so much pain! i was suppose to be released on saturday but due to some complications i had to stay until sunday. Thanks to this site i was prepared, i knew about the gas but WOW it just seemed to sit right on my chest. And when ur hurting you don't feel like getting up and walking although you know you should! I can already tell the difference in my eatig already. i am still on a liquid diet and i have to take it slow and i am only able to have a few sips. Looking at food now even feels different to me. I'm still in the process of taking it all in. I guess thats all for now! :cursing:

  24. hello all...... My first consultation meeting was about 2 hrs long. the first hour was me getting weighed and them asking alot of questions about my weight my diet, lifestyle, etc.... then they explained the different procedures that i might want to get. then I talked to the insurance person. then finally I was given a packet to give to my primary doctor and a form for my bloodword and I was done! it helped alot that I knew what surgery I wanted to do. I hope tis helps you. eb
