Hi because of you (mellisa)i am really thinking of doing it...i live in forest park ,IL and i called your dr.fred..very nervous and looking for a lil support so here i go HELP!!!!!!!!...LOL i've been trying to find out how painful it really is which is my only fear...for the ladies i had a hys about 3 years ago if its even close to that im gonna back out......so plz tell me Should Ann Band PLEASE IF ANYONE MAN OR WOMAN CAN EXPLAIN A LIL ABOUT THE PAIN..

I Haven't Had My Band Yet, And I'm A Little Scared, Too. But, I Had My First Son All-natural (defffinately A 10) And My 2nd Son By C-section (another 10). I Stayed In The Hospital 2 Days After The C-section And Was On My Own Monday With My New Baby And 4year Old Since My Husband Had Just Gotten A New Job And Worked 12 Hour Night Shifts. That Was Not Fun But I Made It And Of Course It Was Worth It. So I'm Counting On The Band Surgery To Be A Breeze, But That Doesn't Mean I'm Not Scared! Good Luck!

Don't worry, I'm a big baby, and it wasn't painful at all, believe me I know what pain is, I've given birth and had a c-section. It is uncomfortable, but not painful, I was sore in my right shoulder from the gas, but I was not in pain at all. I do understand where your coming from though, I am having a tt and some other ps prodedures and I'm not looking forward to being sliced from hip to hip. But I want it so bad that it will be worth the pain. I know I'll be crying like a baby regretting it on Monday night and probably the rest of the week, but it will be worth it. Very sore, but not painful.

Felt like crampy like when I got my tubes tied. Pain scale about a 2.5 the first week. Then a 1 for 2 weeks. Then nothing.
