Just found the best deal on clothing

I let my mother buy me some new clothes today. You guys know how I felt about spending money on clothes I wouldn't wear for long but this was too good to pass up. I got 5 shirts and 7 pair of pants for right around $25.00. Then I bought one more shirt that was a bit more expensive since it wasn't marked down, it was $9.99. LOL K-Mart was having a smokin' sale. All clearance apparel was an additional 40% off. I got shirts for $2-3 and pants for about the same price. Crazy huh? If you have a K-Mart near you, you might wanna see if they are having the same sale.

Excellent timing - as I spent last weekend purging my closet, I do need some inexpensive clothes to get me through the next 10-20 pounds.

thanks for the tip; a K-mart excursion is on the weekend to-do list...

Thanks for the tip on clothes, but I have even a better deal. My closet!

I have so many sizes, because I've hung on to my "thin" clothes, just in case..lol My helpful dh asked me I thought my clothes from the 80s and early 90s would still be in style. :tongue2:

But, seriously, I will have to add clothes to what I've saved over the years, and I really appreciate the tip. Boy, do I look forward to shopping and actually finding clothes the I like, and not just what will fit.

I know exactly what you mean - I had a few silk dresses a la Sue-Ellen Ewing/Dallas style that were my size, but in my ruthless purge this weekend, they too got tossed. I kept one or two business suits but I am taking them to be tailored - shoulder pads out, skirts re-styled. It will probably cost me a fortune, but still less than buying new suits (I hope).
