I have a lot of sinus headaches due to allergies can I take Ibuprofen.

I think we can only take tylenol

Does anyone know why, Is because the med may erode the gastric lining?

I was told tylenol only. Not exactly sure why - something to do with stomach damage I think..

Ibuprofen can erode the lining of the stomach

Ibuprofen is actually a form of non-steroidal anti inflamatory and like most of this class of drugs can cause stomach upset. I took 2 Ibuprofen tablets a couple of weeks ago and the reflux was like pure acid after about 15 minutes.

I was banded 13/8/2007.

Can someone tell me whether you can get paracetamol in USA or only Ibuprofen or Aspirin?

I seen pictures of the inside of the stomach where the tablet just sat on the interior lining and burned a hole in it. This lady didn't have the lapband procedure just a normal person. I try to take everything in a liquid form if possible.

Davidkle....I think Paracetamol and acetaminophen are the same thing and if so yes, widely available in the USA as "Tylenol" including a liquid form.
