Have been throwing up quite a bit too. Think my last fill was too tight. Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Fell Off the Wagon - Ready to Get Back On
Hi. I got a fill last thurs. Might have been too much.I hurt everytime I eat. Have been throwing up a little, when I eat too much, too fast, or something bad. I'm like a crack addict with rice. I know its gonna hurt but for some reason think "maybe this time it wont hurt". I hate veggies, crave sugar and feel really mad at myself everytime I eat sugar. And its always at night.:scared2: I haven't been doing well with protein supplements. They all taste like "butt"! Gross. But I'm trying to have at least 1 per day. Thats only been the last week. I also started walking 30 minutes per day again last week. Its hard cuz I want to see change RIGHT NOW!!! I know in my brain that if I stick with it and continue to work on good habits, it will pay off. So hard it sucks! I'm hoping now that I'm back on this site, maybe it will help. Hows it going for you?

Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor need some tips on getting back on track
I'm in the same boat. I've been lazy. I know that my band is a tool and I have to make healthy eating choices and exercise. I was doing good once i was in a routine with walking. Then i got too busy with 2 nursing jobs, both 12 hour shifts that i made the excuse i have no time to walk. also no time to make healthy eating choices. ugh!!! But spring is coming, and before we know it summer will be here. I don't necessarily care how i look, but i want to feel better so i can be active with my family. One of the guys at my drs office says to just walk 30 min a day. he says anyone can do that and if you're consistent, you'll loose a pound a week. I dont like vegetables and i love junk food. So I'm hoping that if I stick with veggies ill develope a taste. yuck. Well good luck! Ambra:unsure:

Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Fell Off the Wagon - Ready to Get Back On
Hey all. I had my surgery 9/29/08. Lost 50-60 lbs but for some reason all the eating healthy and making good choices have disappeared from my mind. I can relate with the sugar thing. I could eat sweets all day and nothing else. My real problem started when I was working 2 nursing jobs. Stress! So more grab and go fast food. And stopped exercising. Once I get out of my routine, its SOOOOO HARD to start again. This week i've had some surgery so im in bed with a lot to think about. I really want to get back on track and 1st of all, STOP GAINING, and 2nd start loosing again. It's so frustrating! I was feeling so good. I need to figure out how to get back to that place. Seeing others with similar struggles is encouraging. Thanks to all who have shared. Ambra:wub:

Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Hey Dr. Kirshenbaum samurais
I had my 2nd fill 12/4. 1.1 ml added to 3.5 for total of 4.6 mls. It hurts almost every time I eat. I'm trying to figure out if its what I'm eating, or if I'm eating too fast or what????? The scale was stuck, but moved today. Yay! I don't trust my cheap little crappy walmart scale. Think its 5 lbs lighter then the dr's office, but at least if it moves, hopefully the dr's office scale will too. I go back for my 3rd fill Jan 6th. Don't know if I'll need any though. I had a 1st feeling of losing a chunk (15 lbs) but haven't felt different since. Wanting to notice changes, but its hard to tell. Kind of frustrating.

Sept. Samurai Surgery Check-in
Oh bummer! I love hearing about your boys. My 3 boys are 16, 18 and 20 years old. I miss them being little. Plus I'm a nicu nurse, so I love hearing about/working with twins. Sorry about your craft books and your bible. At least its not that on top of needing another surgery cuz your port flipped. I couldn't change my appt, so keeping it 12/4. Have to drive about an hour and then work that night. I work tonight too, so I shouldn't be doing "this" I should be laying down trying to sleep. ttyl

I somehow missed all of this until I posted my other message... I'm glad to see you don't need another surgery. The last workout I did was Hip Hop Abs, total body burn. I was sore for days (good sore) And I was getting ready to do it now, but I'm not sure I should after reading about your port flipping. I'm self pay and there's no way I could afford another surgery. Maybe I'll just walk instead. I just liked feeling my muscles being sore. I'm glad you don't need another surgery. Could you feel anything different when it supposedly flipped? My dr's office never said not to do any crunches either. This workout is mostly standing abs, so it should be ok. Idk. Yikes!

Sept. Samurai Surgery Check-in
Hiya everyone. I am frustrated (still)... don't feel like i'm losing anymore, the scale hasn't budged in weeks (except to go up and down the same pound)... i don't know what to eat. i try protein 1st and i don't drink while i'm eating. don't think i feel anything (restriction) need to schedule my fill sooner, don't know why i've put it off. i can drink without sipping. just in a funk. nice to see i'm not the only one. i haven't been taking my topomax and my lexapro, too much of a pain to crush and take. yuck! maybe that's part of the "funk" guess i should get back to taking them.:wink2:Teri, is the new vitamin a chewable? I could use some energy....

Hey everyone! I'm amazed at all of your weight loss. Congrats!!! My scale won't move, think it's broke. At least it's not going up, but hasn't gone down for quite a while. I should have taken measurements, cuz none of my clothes fit, but it would be nice to say I've lost more lbs. I had my 1st fill on 11/6, 3.5cc, and don't think I feel anything. I asked the office if I have to wait a month for my next one and they said I can have a fill anytime, so Monday hopefully I can change my appt sooner. I'm trying hard to exercise. I really struggle. I just don't want to. Idk if I'm afraid of success or what. It's like this huge mental block. I did hip hop abs yesterday and it kicked my butte! I"m sore all over which is good, but it kind of bothered my port site. Think I'll walk today. I ate a bunch of doritos the other day too. But hey, it's a new day.

Sept. Samurai Surgery Check-in
It's great to read everyones posts. My surgery was 9/29. Didn't get my 1st fill on 10/28 due to my lg incision being infected, got antibiotics instead. Did get a fill of 3.5 cc on 11/6. However don't feel any restriction at all. Frustrated with that. From the doctors office have lost 13 lbs. Feel like I'm retaining water, boobs hurt, pms'ing that type of thing. Had a hysterectomy a couple years ago, but still have my ovaries/hormones so hopefully it's kind of my tom or something. I don't know. I just went back to night shift and feel like crap. Having a hard time, don't know when to eat, having trouble getting in water and exercise. And not beating myself up for everything I feel like I'm doing wrong. Just thought getting the band would make it so I couldn't eat as much. Thanks for listening!
