Girfriend, I will call you this week. I am doing fantastic. I feel like everyrhing is coming together nicely. I took the kids to a great little church yesterday and spent the entire day (just me) down in Capitola beach, had dinner. It was really nice. I am planning my future without Paul. I meet with the attorney on 9/15.

Hi everyone, just wanted to give you an update. I am meeting with my attorney on 9/15 to file for divorce. I picked up the packet today to prepare. My husband is still unemployed which does not help the situation. The court will order him to find a job within 60-90 days I believe so we shall see. He has no money to move out so this is a tricky one for me. We are still sleeping in the same bed. I've had to use some Tylenol PM to help me sleep otherwise I can't sleep at all. I am really hoping he'll be man enough to move into my son's room and have my son sleep with me. I am focused on my sobriety, lapband, my new friends I've been meeting, my weight loss, my finances and trying to keep the house payments going. My oldest son has come to terms with it so that is good. He said he doesn't know the man who raised him anymore. I am going to get my youngest son into some counseling because he is taking it the hardest. Please pray for me and my family. This next 6 to 9 months will not be easy. Julie P.S. I am brave and strong.

Julie, I am happy things are going so smoothly for the two of you during this transition. Divorce is never the easy choice even when it is the best choice.

Stay strong, and good luck with his job situation.

Thanks Ghost. I am a little worried on the upkeep of the house as the pool and yard are a bit too much to handle. I know God will take care of us if we decide not to stay here.

I went to the attorney yesterday. If I stay in the house I have to pay him $1400 a month in alimony. If I lose the house it will be $750 a month. So I don't know what is going to happen now. I talk to my tax man tomorrow.

OUCHH!! is right

I suppose I understand if you get a larger portion of the "estate" then you would "owe" him more but it still doesn't make much sense that if you keep a property that is going to cost you more in upkeep than if you sold it that you then have to turn around and pay him more as well.

What if you "bought" him out of his share of the house with a one-time payment would that bring the alimony down?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
