I DID IT!!! I DID IT!!!!! Im a member of the losing side!

Well yay for me! I DID IT!

I dunno what all you people were talkin about that it was easy as pie. Granted the surgery didnt take long at all but i was miserable all day after surgery yesterday.

I went in at 530am....had the surgery at 730 and all i can remember from there was waking up at 10am in recovery. Then they took me to my room and i fell asleep from all the meds i was on. I slept on and off til like 7pm...then i was finally awake....watched some tv and then went back to bed. Nurses came in like 4 times from then on til 7am and i had just gotten to sleep for a good and was having a good dream and the dang radiologist came in and got me for my upper GI. YUCK YUCK YUCK is what i say about that. All went well for that tho...and so they gave me some Clear Liquids and told me if i could get those down then i was free to go.

So i did it and didnt have any problems getting it down....and now im home.

I do have pain i will admit. My right side hurts like hell...the dr said thats my port side....the left side doesnt hurt at all and it has most the little insicions. So the Dr gave me some pain meds that get shit up my nose....ewwww...i told myself i wasnt gonna use that but when i got home i was beggin for something so i broke down and now ive got it. Best decision i made it helped me sleep all afternoon and took the edge off my aches.

I would have to say everyone at the Hospital was great and overall i would definately do it again. This pain is nuthin compared to the pain i had with my C-section for my daughter.

I lost 12 pounds in the one week for my clear liquid diet!!!! Thats exciting!!!

Im gonna go lay down a bit again...i am kinda groggy still...but thanks to all of you for all the good luck wishes i got!!!!

Congratulations to you! Sounds like you are doing great.

Take it easy , even though things went so smoothly, you do not want to overdue it.

That a girl! I knew you would come through with flying colors! Trust me Krystal, each day gets better and better, I promise. Hang in there!

Wow, it's a trip hearing about other people's stories. You sound like you've got your sense of humor, which you'll need when the gas starts coming out! You mean they gave you nasal pain drops? Never heard of that one before. And is the Upper GI afterwards a standard test they do now?

Good luck to you, and a big congrads!

That is so exciting. I am getting mine done on Tuesday. So glad you posted as this makes me less nervous. Good luck. Can't wait to see you on the other side.

Way to go, girl! Well done! You have a great attitude that will get you through just fine. Rest up, we'll be here for ya!

Congrats! Glad to hear all went well with your surgery. I will have mine in 27 days and I will be in Bandland with you! Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.

WOOHOO!!! Congrats. Krystal!!!! Take care of yourself okay. And welcome to bandland!!

Yippie for you.

I'm 7 days out from being banded and I'm doing great except for when I try to eat regular food and forget that mushy liquid is what I need.

Congrats again and a good word of advice stay off regular foods for 2 weeks minimum or you may feel bad after eating.
