pain meds after a lap band

Hi, My name is Judie. I was banded about 6 years ago and successfully lost 85 pounds. I still need to lose some weight but the older I get the harder it is. My question now is does anyone know what over the counter or prescription drugs for pain should not be taken after surgery? I now have a hip problem and have been taking tylenol but I do have motrin also. I just don't remember what the rule is on these kinds of meds. Help if you know.:tt2:

this is a question best answered by your doctor .

every doctor is different . Most docs say no NSAIDs.

But i woudl call your doctor.

Mindy

I am also told no NSAIDS like ibuprofin and naproxin found in Advil, Motrin and Alieve.
