Hi, I'm Dixie, I haven't had the lap banding done yet. I just got new insurance and don't know yet if all the labs, psych eval, etc(that I had done last year )will be able to be used. I am 51 years old and am a nurse at a women's prison in Mason County WV. I am going to Dr. Nease at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Write to me anytime.

Hi! Thanks for responding. My name is Peggy and I live in Milton, WV. I work in Huntington at the V.A. Hospital as a clerk in Xray. I got banded on 7-10 and am doing good. I used to live really close to Cabell Hospital, and my little grandson had a hernia repair operation there when he was a baby and they did a great job. The insurance companies take so long to approve the lap band, but it's worth it. It's really nice meeting you and write to me anytime too! Peggy

Hi Peggy,

I am in Northern Kentucky and was banded in December '07. I have lost 71 lbs. so far and am working out like crazy

What do you think so far?
