Surgery AGAIN

Ok so I am a little anxious. I had surgery 2-25-08 and my surgeon has tried to do 3 fills. They have all been successful, except for when he tries to withdraw fluid, he cannot. So he is going back in next Friday, because he believes my tubing is kinked and my port may be dislodged. Has anyone ever had this happen and what do I expect? Banded 2-25-08 by Dr Jeff

I can't answer you question but just wanted to say good luck... I'm sure you will be fine it must be just a quick thing hopefully. Dont worry it sounds like the surgeon is doing the right thing and looking after you rather than ignoring things.

I had band complications too. My Fill nurse punctured the band tubing just as it led to the port.

This resulted in leakage of saline fromt he band and no restriction.

I had it re-operated on in Mar. Dr. fixed the tubing and port and now everything is fine.

You'll be fine too... same surg as before same recovery time. Only I didn't have to wait for weeks to have fills... he put 5cc's into my band at the time of the second surg.

So now I am tight again...yeah
