The difference between the two

I am looking into have my lap done at St. Mary's Bariatric center. What is the difference between them and Deaconess? I have heard Deaconess can take a while and really haven't heard the pro's and con's of St. Mary's. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

hey melissa, wish i could tell you the difference but all i know is that i started my journey on jan 29, 08 and still havent had the band. i go on friday to see the surgeon for the second time and according to everything i have been told i should get a surgery date. it is a long process and involves all sorts of tests and consultations. sometimes it seems neverending. it seems i have been waiting for this so long that i am starting to lose interest and am not folowing the program as closely as i shoud be. i have quit writing in my food journals and not even trying to eat properly. maybe that will change when i get a date. i sure hope so cause i feel like i have been put on the back shelf or on hold, so to speak. good luck on your journey and i hope it goes by quicker for you. jenhay
